Just asked for a quote on extensive work in my property… spoke with David. After asking me to hang up and speak to him later instead, while I had my child with me, in the subsequent conversation he asked me why, if I think I know what needs doing from other traders, I haven’t used one of them. This was before he asked me anything much about the problem or offered to come and have a look/give me a quote. I explained that some of the work is in between two different trades (damp proofing and drain installation) and the other traders can’t do all of it - they suggested I need a builder. Also explained it’s reasonable to get more than one quote in any event as he well knows working for Seamans. He was extremely rude and patronising … he doesn’t know me so I can only assume it’s chauvinism and he’s got an issue with talking to a woman about building work. Totally rude and disgusting. If you are a woman, don’t bother contacting this company.
