The pub has been beautifully refurbished, the staff efficient and friendly. The food, however was disappointing - hungry horse style fast food. We may well return, but definitely won't eat!

Been here twice now and will definitely be back again. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is warm. The service and food are fantastic and very reasonably priced, the wait time has been short both times I have been, even if I did have to wait longer it would truly be worth it for the flavourful food. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as I haven't had an experience in a pub this good in over 10 years. Thank you so much for being an amazing place to go for a delicious meal in great surroundings.

Absolutely fantastic lunchtime meal today (Thursday 14th December) it was very busy but they fitted us in (group of 7) no problem or fuss. They accommodated our young children with colouring and crayons and were super friendly. Our food was cook perfectly, and in very good time! We had 3 seniors (great senior menu and very good value for money) 3 from the festive menu (I recommend the brie and cranberry burger) and a very good value children's meal, drink and dessert. We live locally so will be back, lots!! Thanks so much and Merry Christmas 🎅

The staff are really friendly helpful and efficient. The pub is always spotlessly clean warm and welcoming. The food is good and served up quickly and cleared away quickly. There is always a lovely atmosphere in the Victoria and is used by young and old, couples and families Good food and excellent service.

Love this pub, love the staff. They very kindly let me celebrate my special birthday recently and nothing was too much trouble. It’s my go to pub, immaculate, decent pub grub, Garden and pods are great in the summer. Thank you David, Natasha and staff, you have made the pub friendly and welcoming xx

As a party of nine we went for a quick bite to eat We ordered children’s meals a selection of the small plates plus a pizza. Unfortunately the pizza never turned up! We approached the staff to be told “well you probably never ordered it then” they soon realised we had and that they had missed it of, they gave us a refund and that was it! No apology Unfortunately the beer garden had dog muck all over the place and to top it of my grandsons trainers were in a disgusting state and were binned Safe to say we will not be returning

On visiting to gathering friends on bank holiday Monday , not that busy for the day food was average ! We all had food. We spent a lot, as there was 8 of us . I was served not properly..I was made shots that baby Guinness looked curdled as served not very appetising . and a pitcher served be told as I didn’t want much ice that’s why it was half full ! The manager lady was rude , unfriendly and was said that’s how we do it here ! I work behind a bar and know how customer service and how drinks are made , I was appalled by the inexperienced staff to serve drinks and the attitude a customer as myself got when dare to query the quality of the drinks. I would like to say the young lads on duty that day were helpful and said sorry to how we were treated. I hope they get credit for their excellent customer service . The manager lady has a lot to learn of hospitality and smile instead of making a customer feel humiliated. I saw how rude she was with other customers and I don’t think I be returning as such a shame as a lovely laid out pub and fantastic venue decorated lovely and clean and fresh.

Lovely place! I've chosen it for my birthday celebration and it did not disappoint - amazing food, cosy atmosphere and such nice people! Thank you so much! I'll definitely be recommending The Victoria to my friends and hopefully come back again soon:)

We stumbled across the Victoria having been rerouted home due to the A14 roadworks. Been for a drink a couple of times on the way home (as looks sooo inviting) and last week we decided on a little impromptu dinner. We both had the burger with a slice of cheese added. I love a burger but don't tend to have one out. This was a simple burger VERY well done. The salad in the burger was crisp and fresh, the bun substantial and toasted and the burger was lovely...the chips were salted with rosemary...and the price was very very decent. Lots of young people working here and all very polite...big thumbs up on great staff 👍 Have already booked again. We haven't sat outside the back (only the front) but the outside area I would imagine is very popular as it looks lovely. Well done Victoria!
