Helpful and very welcoming reception staff, vets and nurses very helpful and knowledgeable

I love bringing my dogs here. Every encounter with the staff has been welcoming. They truly want to care for your pet in the best way. My dog has anxiety and they are great with her!

An excellent Vetinary practice, the whole team were incredibly supportive of our hyperactive young German Shepherd. We left with a medical plan and also support for making future visits to the vet calmer through a series of ‘Happy Visits’. Both the vet and the staff in reception went out of their way to help Luna.

This was Maisie's first visit for treatment and she enjoyed the experience For me that was perfect

I've been a client of Thurston Vets for some 20 years. In all that time the staff has been kind to me, especially when one of my dear, dear dogs had to be put to sleep. I've seen 10 of them leave me in the little bungalow that serves as the surgery. The 2 I still have are well looked after, my older Chihuahua having just had a heart scan and started on heart pills! Every time I take an animal to Thurston Vets I feel they give me plenty of time to explain the problem. They diagnose it quickly and accurately. I trust them.

I have only just joined this practice and had to have my gorgeous cockerpoo put to sleep in April I was devastated vet James was amazing kind listened reviewed the notes helped me make decisions without pressure the team gave me time space and kindness. I have attended twice more and been treated the same way and have seen how caring this team is even caring for wildlife brought in by members of the public I just know all will be done for every animal that crosses their path and with love and compassion . Thank you all especially Dr James who is sadly leaving x.

I usually use the Haughley branch as it's closer to me, but having had a sudden need for a vet visit for one of my cats who was very poorly, they luckily were able to fit us in. The vet and the nurse who saw him were very friendly and understanding, they treated him with kindness and patience, even helping us by giving him the first dose of medication which just gave us absolute peace of mind. I felt they genuinely cared about him, rather than just treating him like a client, as previous vets have done. I will always recommend Haughley/Thurston to vets to anyone who is looking for a vet recommendation.
